Trade Show Booth Ideas that you have not thought of before
Here are some trade show booth ideas and pointers for harnessing the positive energy of you.
-
Be the smartest person in the booth.
Be your booth’s genius bar. Attendees want to speak with subject matter experts. Run your booth with sales operators who know the product or service inside and out if you can’t be there.
-
Get physical.
Use positive body language. Keep your shoulder square. Don’t slouch. Use a firm handshake; don’t shortchange them on your grip. Don’t eat in the booth. Don’t stand with your arms crossed. Attendees are more likely to interact with booth leaders displaying positive body language.
-
Cultivate positive energy.
Learn to talk and smile at the same time, it will encourage the next attendee to want to speak with you. Practice this technique in the mirror so you know what might feel awkward, looks like a genuine expression. Exercising your smile muscles is also proven to make you feel better.
-
Be statuesque.
Never sit down. Is your stamina up to the challenge? Wear comfortable professional shoes. Always stand in front of the table awaiting the next conversation. Showcase display items high and in your proximity to encourage attendees from a distance to visit.
-
Don’t Point.
Gestures like the experiential masters at Disney. Do not point to objects or individuals with one finger. Use at least two fingers to gesture or an open hand.
-
Is it googleable?
Use search engine terms on your booth display. What handful of words would someone type into a search engine to find your products? Even better use a custom twitter #hashtag to initiate and lead the discussion platform.
-
Break the silence.
Use Icebreakers. Reach out to attendees with, “What brings you to the event today.” To get the conversation started.
